A DAY DEDICATED TO ADVANCING COMMUNITY PRIORITIES THROUGH SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF URBAN FORESTS
The Westin Montreal
7 MAY 2026
Join us for a dynamic day of learning and networking bringing together urban forestry professionals, community partners, certification bodies, and leaders from the first SFI certified urban forests. This specialized program on urban forestry, offered as part of the 2026 annual conference of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, brings together stakeholders from across the sector to advance a common understanding of sustainable urban forest management in the service of healthier, more resilient communities.
Through concrete case studies, networking opportunities, and facilitated workshops, participants will explore how the SFI Standard for Urban and Community Forest Sustainability is applied on the ground to protect biodiversity, strengthen urban forests, and foster sustainable community engagement.
You will leave inspired, equipped with practical knowledge and transferable approaches that you can directly apply to advance your own urban forestry goals.
Continuing Education Credits (CECs) from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) will be available.
